Art Club (Kindergarten - 8th Grade)

Find your own creative voice and explore means of expression through independent projects, as well as directed projects. Explore a variety of materials and bring your creative visions to life!

LEGO Club  (Kindergarten - 3rd Grade)

Our LEGO Club is a great way for students to master skills such as: problem solving, building teamwork, and understanding complex tasks. Students will have the opportunity to use their creativity to build with LEGOs, as well as follow a guide to build specific designs - all while having fun!

Minecraft (3rd - 8th Grade)

Minecraft Club will give students the opportunity to play socially with each other, as well as engage in activities that will serve as an introduction to coding, engineering, and architecture. Students will also be able to complete goals and tasks that will help them develop their critical thinking, planning, and problem solving skills.

Pokemon Club (3rd - 8th Grade)

This club will give students the opportunity to learn and develop important skills such as: working with others, strategic thinking and planning. Students will be able to play many of the Pokemon games, including Pokemon Go, the Pokemon Trading Card Game, and some of the latest Pokemon video games! Students will not need their own games or trading cards to play.

Theatre Arts Club (4th - 8th Grade)

HTCA is proud to present our Theater Arts After School Club for students in Grades 4-8; not to be confused with the Drama Class students take in Grades 6-8 as part of their class schedule.  Students in Drama Class will perform short scenes and learn the very basics of acting. The Drama Class will also have a focus on theatre history. 
Students who join the Theatre Arts Club aim to perform in a musical or play in the Spring. There are many aspects of putting on a school play that these students will have the opportunity to take part in, including: helping to build and be responsible for props, costumes, and the creation of sets.

Kickball Club (4th - 8th Grade)

HTCA's Kickball Club is a great way for students to build social skills and develop teamwork and an active lifestyle. Students will learn learn sports fundamentals like kicking, throwing, and catching - all while having fun! It's easy to learn and play, making it a perfect game for all who join.

Model UN (6th - 8th Grade)

Model UN is a simulation of the UN General Assembly where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as" climate change, global health, international military conflict, and more!

Students will receive descriptions of the fictional countries they represent and will take their country's characteristics into consideration while making decisions. They will work with (and against) one another to find solutions to global problems. 

Some reading will be required to prepare the students to represent their countries effectively.
